Walking briskly into 2013

I spent the last eight days in Florida visiting my family. Tomorrow I head home, rejuvinated and ready to embrace 2013. My youngest son and I will drive ten and a half hours across the South to return to big city Texas, and I’m taking this healthy habit home with me.

During our visit I made sure to walk six out of eight days. In spite of a forty minute commute, a 7:45-4:45 job, and standing most of my day, my goal is a BRISK 30 minute walk, 5 days a week.

I had already started walking two to three times a week this past year, but I know it’s vital to my health, mental agility, and sense of well-being to walk more often and with more intensity. It will reduce my stress level and increase my creativity. I’m going to do it. I know I can.
